Pirates’ Jason Grilli Goes Undercover At Dick’s Sporting Goods

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Hard-throwing closer by night, Dick’s Sporting Goods employee by day?

He’s become known as ‘Grilled Cheese,’ and he certainly knows how to bring the heat and melt opposing batters to preserve Pirate wins.

Jason Grilli has become a fan favorite for his high-spirited approach and leadership in the Shark Tank.

Now, Jason has taken on another challenge.

This one comes from the folks at Majestic Sports Wear and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

For one day, with cameras following him closely, the Pirates’ closer went undercover as a Dick’s store employee.

“He seems like a really nice dude, and that’s just awesome that he does that,” said one fan. “The city loves his team, and him reaching out to fans like that, that’s really awesome he does that.”

We don’t know how well he would do in the retail world though because he seemed to be giving everything away!

So, it might be a good idea for him to just keep his job on the pitcher’s mound!
